defective

@defective@echo.uvxi.org

Heyo! Just some guy born to hack around, forced to waste machines on corpo bullshit.

I spend most of my cycles doing whatever tickles my brain at the moment. For the past year or so I've been trying to get back into the basics of computation, doing some C, some reversing, learning about the existance of ELFs, etc. Now digging into the very basic OSdev related stuff and writing my own. Very much still a newb on all of this tho.

I also maintain my own always-growing, all organic, pesticide-free network of untamed servers running silly little services, mostly on OpenBSD.

Outside all that I really enjoy fighting games (although i suck) so 1v1 me anytime (ノ*ФωФ)ノ nowadays mostly playing Guilty Gear Strive, excited for city of wolves.

      I'm glad to announce the release of version 2.73 of , the simple, minimalistic instance server written in C. It includes the following changes:

      Added support for customizing and translating the web UI language via simple .po files. For more information on how to install language files or create new ones, please see snac(8) (the administrator manual).

      New user support for blocking hashtags from the web UI.

      The Content-Security-Policy HTTP header is now always sent to disable any JavaScript, instead of just being suggested in the documentation.

      Image attachments in SVG format are now disabled by default; you can enable them back by setting the enable_svg value to true in server.json.

      Several fixes (contributed by inz).

            @grunfink Thanks! This seems useful for someone like me just dipping their toes into AP.

              @grunfink@comam.es cool, thank you! Just spent this last weekend setting up this instance on 2.72, guess it's time for an upgrade already

                Mmh ok on a chroot sending notification emails is broken, since it relies on sendmail, which on openbsd relies on smtpctl (and smtpd) and I can't seem to get it working

                It's fine cause I don't wanna enable that anyway, but other stuff may be failing silently, treacherously even >:O if so this may not be worth it, we'll see!
